- PAYMENT TERMS: payment due in full upon completion. If the job is going to take more than 2 weeks, we will ask for an incremental payment part way through the job. Terms will be discussed in advance. Please note, you will NEVER pay any money up front when dealing with us.
- Late payment: interest at a rate of 2%, compounded monthly, will be added on any overdue accounts. Please simply pay in full upon completion of the job.
- If extra work is added (either by the client or after demolition we need to address new issues), we will keep track of the extra hours required, and add to the final bill at $85 per hour. Please note, if this extra work affects the amount of time for the job, our time at the job might be extended. Very few of our jobs require extra work above the work originally quoted; however, we cannot foresee every possible problem before demolition is complete.
- If you have us order special order products, they must be paid for at the time of our ordering them. Please note that special order products can take up to 3 months to arrive.
- By allowing us to start the job, you acknowledge that the estimate for the job we are working on has just become our binding contract with you for the job. Any work you want done which is not explicitly detailed in the quote will become extra work, as explained in point 3.
- The company owner, Dave Singleton, does all estimates. He always discusses with clients in advance that he will pick up the construction materials needed for the job, and add them to the final bill. He only purchases materials needed for doing the job, and tracks them on his Home Depot Pro Account. At the end of the job, he forwards you copies of the bills for your verification, and for you to have the bills to register any warranties on products. Please note, we leave any unused paint or grout for you to do touch-ups in the future; however, we discard most left over construction materials, such as screws or plywood pieces.
- Waste removal is never included in any of our jobs. We discuss with clients best way to remove the waste, but this cost is always added to the final invoice.
- The company owner, Dave Singleton, always sends the clients a shopping list for the finishing materials they need to select for the job. This includes items such as the floor tiles, wall tiles, shower faucet system, vanity faucet(s), etc. A very important point to note is that, if these selected items are IN STOCK items from your closest Home Depot location, he can pick these items up for you and bring them to your job site, with no added mark up or delivery charges. However, if you decide to get say tiles or a faucet from anywhere else, he clearly states during the estimate process that you MUST have these items on site prior to commencing work. If they are not there for some reason, he reserves the right to completely postpone the commencement of the project indefinitely, or to possibly add charges for extra shopping trips instead.
- Our tiling work is very precise. However, due to the nature of the materials involved, you should note the following.
- Our tiling levelling and cutting is guaranteed to be within 1/8 of an inch. If you wish a higher standard of precision than this, you MUST mention it in advance. We will NOT chip out tiles for free which meet this standard.
- For tiling work, we do 3/16 inch grout lines and tile levelling clips, unless you specify a different size.
- If you wish us to use an epoxy grout, you must tell us in advance; we will not use epoxy grout on matte finish tiles, only on polished tiles. Also, we will be add extra labor charges to use epoxy grout, as cleanup takes twice as long.
